We’ve recently learned that some of our members are receiving concerning phone calls and text messages from individuals falsely claiming to be Chief Financial Credit Union representatives.
We want you to know:
- We will never call or text to ask for your online banking password, full debit card number, or other sensitive details
- Our fraud team communicates in specific ways to protect your security
- Your safety is our priority – we fully support you taking steps to verify who you’re talking to
How to Stay Protected:
- If you receive a call claiming to be from Chief Financial:
- Hang up immediately – even if the caller ID shows our number
- Call us back directly at 248-253-7900
- We welcome and encourage these verification calls
- Never share:
- Online banking credentials
- Complete debit card numbers
- Personal details like your date of birth
- Account passwords or PINs
Remember: No Chief Financial representative will ever be upset if you hang up and call us back to verify their identity. We respect and appreciate your caution in protecting your financial information.
